Marina is an experienced and skilled Nurse Practitioner who has exclusively practiced on the Big Island of Hawai‘i for the past nine years. In addition to primary care, she has gained experience across multiple specialties, including urology, orthopedics, and general surgery with wound care.
Her journey in healthcare began at age 17, when she started working as a telemetry technician and unit secretary in a hospital setting. She went on to earn her nursing degree and license after completing a Bachelor of Science in cell and molecular biology. In 2016, Marina graduated with honors from an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program and has been practicing on the Big Island ever since.
Marina is bilingual in English and Russian and is competent in Slavic cultural care as well as LGBTQ+ care. She is a member of GLMA and serves on the board of Kumukahi Health.
She has a strong interest in proactive and preventative health, with a special focus on functional medicine. Marina has experience managing hormone and thyroid imbalances, and her true passion lies in brain health and the optimization of cognitive function. She previously ran the Memory Clinic at WHCHC for a period of time.
When she is not busy seeing patients, Marina enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Momo and Koa.
